Manchester's long running Deep House crew presents the first release of 2009 on RAINYCITYMUSIC/FREESOUND, the new digital only label. Producers IRFAN RAINY & REX LEON have written a two track release on the afro-electronic Deep House tip ' Smash the Silence ' and ' Vodun '. The former is a deep dance groove on the Afrobeat vibe and features vocalist Vera Ephraim from Lagos, Nigeria. In true Afrobeat style the lyrics scream protest and dissent, backed by a hynoptic House groove, look out for for Deep Tech mixes forthcoming. ' Vodun ' is an lo-fi instrumental, marimba led electronic House groove, in tune with todays dark, stripped down and percussive flavours.
